GWT are striving to engage everyone in finding out and enjoying the wildlife around you.

Courses & Events

Our education team organise lots of fun events, clubs and activities for the whole family at Magor Marsh and the Environmental Resource Centre, Ebbw Vale. All the details are in our main events guide.

Elderflowers

This is a youth club for 55+ year olds who are interested in nature.  We have a meeting once a month on a Wednesday afternoon at Magor Marsh 3-5pm.  We usually have a short walk and then an activity related to wildlife and the environment - woodcraft, bird watching, willow weaving and lots lots more.  Contact Petra Mitchard on 01600 740600 ext.6114 to find out more. 

 

 Life on Marsh Festival - 11th July 2020

This is our annual festival held at Magor Marsh for young and old alike celebrating the amazing heritage of the Gwent levels.   There will be music, dancing, singing, crafts and a large dose of laughter at his unique and enjoyable event.  While away a summers afternoon amongst meadow flowers and marvel at the strange and fantastic creatures at home on the marsh, watch the bird life and have a go at crafts.  Local brewers, bee keepers, skilled crafts people, societies , food producers and artisans will be there.  If you know of anyone who would like a stall contact Kathy Barclay 01600 740600 ext 6004.


 

Wildlife Warriors
