Storytelling with music Cr David Sankson

Location: Magor Marsh, Magor

Opportunity type: Education

Available: Any day

Help us engage the general public with wildlife and the work of the Gwent Wildlife Trust at our Magor Marsh events.

Over the course of the year, our Derek Upton Centre at Magor Marsh holds host to a number of events that engage the general public with GWT and the wildlife of Gwent. We need volunteers to help us deliver various wildlife activities to engage children and adults in nature and what the trust does at Magor Marsh.

Activities include storytelling, face painting, bird box building, bug hunting, pond dipping, refreshments, badge making, children’s crafts, admissions and manning binoculars at the bird hide.

You don’t need to be an expert in wildlife – full training can be provided!

As this role will involve dealing with members of the public, good communication and customer service skills are needed. You will also come into contact with children, so a full DBS check is required, but we can do that for you if you don’t already have one.
