Hopkins Machinery are agricultural, plant and utility vehicle hire and sales specialists.
We are delighted that the company, who are main suppliers to the Celtic Manor Resort, WRU, Ryder Cup, FAW and Newport Gwent Dragons, are now supporting our charity.

We look forward to growing our relationship with them by sharing knowledge and experience. As well as them supporting us, we hope that our expertise in nature conservation may help the wildlife at their premises such as barn owls.”

Hopkins Machinery’s Operations Manager Evan Hopkins - grandson of the company founder Ted, said he was more than happy to support a cause close to his own heart and his family’s business.
He said, “Gwent Wildlife Trust is very important to me personally, as I love wildlife and did a degree in Zoology at Reading University.
“Building on our good relationship with the Trust is also significant to us as a company, as our business premises are based within a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) at the Wentloog Levels, which is part of the Gwent Levels.
“It is vital to take care of this precious environment, so that’s why we support Gwent Wildlife Trust and their invaluable conservation work.”

Hopkins Machinery’s support to Gwent Wildlife Trust includes loaning the charity an off-road Kubota Rough Terrain Vehicle (RTV) throughout last winter.
We have used the vehicle to access our reserves and ferry materials to and from them and carry out essential winter maintenance including fencing, hedge-laying and checks on our conservation grazing cattle and sheep.

GWT’s Senior Farming and Wildlife Development Officer Tim Green said, “Thanks to Hopkins Machinery’s support and use of the RTV buggy we could easily get to our livestock and reserves over the winter.”
