By ticking the box, you agree to the following: The competition is open to pupils of primary or secondary school. English or Welsh language schools can take part. If you are a Welsh medium school and would like to submit your entry in Welsh, we kindly ask that it be bilingual, as not all our judges can communicate in Welsh. The competition is open to schools in the following local authorities: Blaenau Gwent CBC, Caerphilly CBC, Newport CC, Monmouthshire CC or Torfaen CBC. Entries from schools outside of these boundaries will not be accepted. Entries can be submitted by pupils, teachers or parents/carers on behalf of pupils. The closing date for entries if 17:00 on Friday 24th April 2026. Entries will be judged by the Gwent Wildlife Trust Education Team, consisting of three staff members. The winner will be announced on Friday 22nd May 2026. The prize must be used before Friday 17th July 2026. The prize is for one class with a maximum of 35 pupils and their supervising teachers. The prize is a visit to one of our education centres and cannot be traded for a cash or other services. You will receive a set of Terms & Conditions related to Health & Safety and Code of Conduct during your visit. This must be signed and returned before your visit. By entering this competition, you are agreeing to Gwent Wildlife Trust using your entry on our website, social media and in press releases. You agree to photos being taken during the free visit to our education centre, that may subsequently be used on our website, social media and for a press release that could be used in local media. For this, you may be required to request photographic consent from a parents or carers. Arrangements can be made for individuals that do not have photographic consent.
