About the event

This year our team and volunteers have been doing work to restore the river at our new wetland nature reserve, River Meadow. This included running groundwater monitoring and installing dipwells and a stilling well to assess the overall hydrology of the site and water fluctuations, and help us determine the ideal depths and designs for new scrapes and ponds.

Join us taking you through the work that was done and the exciting results, including the wildlife species seen thriving on the riverbanks!

This work was thanks to funding from Natural Resources Wales’ Four Rivers for LIFE project for the River Usk (part of the EU LIFE Programme with support from Welsh Government and Welsh Water.)
