About the event

Jenny Knight, of Stump up for Trees, will lead this talk about the Cradle for Nature project, which aims to explore practical and sustainable ways of reclaiming old opencast coal sites in South Wales and provide a 'cradle for nature' using trees as a tool for restoration.

Hear about this long-term research project and restoration strategy that uses tree planting to rehabilitate degraded, former opencast coal mine sites by improving soil conditions and increasing biodiversity.
