If you would like to be part of a friendly team, working towards ensuring our nature reserves are managed as well as they can be for wildlife, then this could be the role for you. As Gwent Wildlife Trust’s Nature Recovery Officer (NRO), you will oversee practical action for wildlife and engagement activities for volunteers at our nature reserves, as well as working with partners and neighbours to help support further action to help ensure nature is in recovery.

Job reference: Nature Recovery Officer

Working alongside other NRO’s and the Senior Conservation Grazing Officer, and reporting to the Nature Recovery Manager you will be a key part of our Nature Recovery Team.  We are looking for a passionate hard worker with knowledge and practical skills in habitat management for biodiversity, with initiative to find solutions to everyday challenges and happy to lead volunteers that help to support our aspirations. You will have good ecological knowledge, be happy to work well on your own or as part of a team and be used to working safely in sometimes challenging conditions.

The position is subject to an enhanced and barred Disclosure and Barring Service check.
