Wilder Resources

Our approach is to focus our efforts on supporting and empowering communities and individuals to undertake actions for nature in their local area. We want to help create resilient communities in Gwent. Over the coming months, we’re offering all sorts of ways you can learn and get involved in action to protect local wildlife: including walks, talks, training, networking events and volunteering. Whether you're new to nature or a wildlife expert, we hope these resources can help.

Water Voles on the Gwent Levels

Water voles have the unfortunate claim to fame of being the fastest declining mammal in the UK. In Wales, their population has crashed by over 90% since the 1980s.
