We have a new Reserves Guide on the way, but we need your help! Lowri Watkins, our Assistant Conservation Projects Officer, has been tasked with putting together pictures, facts, walks and more.

Lowri is currently compiling information and photographs to create an up-to-date and exciting profile for our many reserves, but she could do with your help!

If you’re able to help with any of the items below, please get in touch with Lowri at – we'd love to hear from you!

Landscape photos
GWT has an excellent and growing Image Library, but we seem to be lacking in really good landscape shots of our reserves. For the new reserves guide, we would like to provide a new perspective of these beautiful spaces. If you have taken any high resolution landscape photos of our reserves in recent years and would be happy for these to be used (with full credit given), please let us know. Or if you you have any brilliant shots of flora/fauna, please send them across.

Tips on species, features or seasonal highlights
We already have a pretty good idea about what’s special about each of our reserves, but it would be really great to build on this with your experiences. What do you love seeing the most and do you have any tips on how best to spot things and when/where?!

Nice walks
Where possible, we are hoping to provide information about suggested walks (for reserves that are big enough!), including detail on the length, interest and fitness level. Do you have a favourite route that you’d be willing to share? Or, once Lowri has written up some walks would you be willing to test these out?

We will of course need to include information on the accessibility of each reserve – whether it's suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs etc. We’d be interested to hear any feedback you may have on how accessible the reserves are to those of varying fitness and ability and any details of particular areas that can be tricky.

Lowri will also be looking at the current directions we have for each of the reserves and working to improve these where necessary. If you have any feedback on any of the existing instructions or tips for parking, please do let her know. Similarly, if you’d be willing to road test my updated directions (particularly to a site you’ve never visited!), please contact Lowri with your general area and how far you’d be happy to travel.

Thanks for your help!
