Gwent Wildlife Trust covers the area from the lower Wye to the Rhymney river valley in South East Wales. The Trust was set up in 1963 to purchase its first nature reserve, Magor Marsh and now has over 30 nature reserves.  Read the history of our first 40 years.  See the Annual Review for 2010/11

Wonderful Winter Wildlife

Gwent Wildlife Trust, through Wildlife Trust Wales (WTW), received a boost to its funds of just over £11,000. WTW is a partner with The People’s Postcode Lottery in Wales and received £80,470 from the draw in June. After WTW costs, covering publicity support and management, this leaves £66,092 which is being split between all 6 Welsh Trusts.
