A small area of young mixed deciduous woodland planting and a field of semi improved grassland.  The field is bordered by mature hedgerows with scattered large oak trees.  The reserve will be used as an experimental site where the Trust will work on increasing the diversity of flowers in the grassland.
 

Location

From Usk, go north on a road signposted Gwehelog.  Follow the road for about 2.5 miles till a second crossroads.  Turn right towards Llandenny.  Follow this road for half a mile to a crossroad.  The reserve entrance is on the right opposite the turning to Walks Mill Cyder Farm.  There is parking for one car by the reserve entrance.

Ther is a flat straight path from the entrance through the plantation to the field.
