A gift in your will would really help us.

The work of the Wildlife Trust depends on the generosity of our supporters.  A gift in your will is one of the most valuable ways you can help save our wildlife.  Legacies can help us to ensure that future generations also know and enjoy the natural world on our doorstep.

Legacies have already helped us to:

  • Campaign on behalf of wildlife.

  • Provide protection for endangered species.

  • Buy and manage nature reserves.

  • Educate and inspire our children.

  • Encourage volunteers to help conserve local areas.

Legacies have helped Magor Marsh Reserve

Thanks to the generosity of two bequests, one left by Isabel Titie and the other in memory of Chris Renshaw, the Trust was able to buy 33 acres of grassland at Magor Marsh.  Work undertaken at the reserve recently has encouraged the return of breeding lapwings.  This bequest provided the nucleus of funding around which we could attract further grants and membership support.

The Trust has also recently received notification of a legacy following the death of Miss Elderkin.  This has enabled plans to go ahead for further improvements at Magor Marsh for wetland species.

An added incentive to leaving a legacy is that gifts to charities are exempt from inheritance tax.  This maximises your charitable gift.  Your solicitor or financial adviser would be pleased to advise further on this.
