Marketing & Communications Officer

Salary: £20,400 - £23,188 (depending on experience)

This is an exciting post for an energetic communicator, with an interest in nature conservation, to increase GWT’s unrestricted income through corporate relationship development. The post holder will also manage some of GWT’s fundraising events and will raise GWT’s profile with the public, businesses, and local and national governments.

Full time permanent post (subject to a six month probationary period)
Location: near Monmouth, Gwent

This is an exciting post for an energetic communicator, with an interest in nature conservation, to increase GWT’s unrestricted income through corporate relationship development. The post holder will also manage some of GWT’s fundraising events and will raise GWT’s profile with the public, businesses, and local and national governments.

The main responsibility of the post holder will be to ensure that GWT increases its core annual income by developing and managing corporate relationships and marketing GWT to raise awareness across all available media platforms. There will be particular emphasis on corporate membership and large-scale event fundraising. The post holder should have proven experience in communications and PR, and a flair for negotiation and fundraising, with a bright, determined, and enthusiastic personality.

A full driving licence is essential. The post will be based at Gwent Wildlife Trust offices near Monmouth (South Wales) but the post holder will be expected to travel throughout Gwent and undertake occasional travel elsewhere in the UK.
