Wildlife Warriors

Warriors 2019

Gwent Wildlife Trust's Wildlife Warriors is our Tuesday night youth club run at Magor Marsh

Wildlife Warriors is an evening youth club (10-18) run at our Magor Marsh Reserve by Tom Rugg (a local secondary school teacher and outdoor education consultant) on Tuesday evenings 6.30-8.30 term times from April to October. Cost - £24 per term (£20 for members) plus extra for trips.

If you are interested in joining please contact Kathy Barclay on 01633 889048 or email her at magormarsh@gwentwildlife.org.

We are in our 10th year now and have done everything from shelter building to bird ringing , badger watching and bee keeping, woodland management and conservation farming, green woodcrafts and wildlife gardening, fire lighting and survival skills and lots of treasure hunts and outdoor games. There is something for everyone and the volunteers and experts that so generously share their knowledge with the children make every session enthralling and inspiring.
We want to inspire a whole new generation to care for wildlife and perhaps even to consider working in conservation management” Kathy Barclay, Education Officer, Magor Marsh.

We couldn’t run this club without the generous and regular sponsorship from Magor and Undy Community Council and Magor Churchmen as well the John Paul Getty Charitable Trust, Yorkshire Building Society, Julian Hodge Charitable Trust, the Belvedere Trust, Waitrose and individuals.
