Help us count the orchids at our reserves this Spring & Summer

Looking for a fun & easy way to help wildlife? Come to our reserves & count orchids for us. We are in need of orchid counters each year to help us measure the success of our meadows in the Usk to Wye area. We are keen to know what levels of increase for the different species of orchids we are geting in our reserves to help us fine tune our conservation methods.

You will be needed in the Spring and Summer on several occassions, and when you go the meadows is up to you. This activity is best to be done in pairs, and if you have a partner, or even a group on a big site is better. However, if we have many applicants, then we can pair people up. If you are lone working, please let us know so that we can discuss our lone working policy with you.

Sites that require orchid counters: Kitty’s Orchard, Dixton Embankment, New Grove Meadows, Pentwyn Farm, and Springdale Farm.

Full training and induction will be given by Tim Green at an agreed time and place.
