Barnwood Fields Planning Application

The Barnwood Fields site is fields C and D on the plan below, sloping down to a stream.  It is just within the village boundary.  The owner is applying for planning permission to build 20 executive style houses.  He also owns fields A and B. One of the houses will be a conversion of an existing stone barn.  Trees will be felled in field D and the hedgerow and individual trees removed.

The local authority has already identified this village as suitable for infill development in its Statutory Development Plan and is keen to see more housing provided. The application involves no more than 20 dwellings and the site is just over 0.5 ha.  It can be considered without being put to the Planning Committee under Delegated Powers ... unless there is an objection.

What impact, if any, could this development have on wildlife?  Try listing possible impacts then comparing this list with the data from a site survey.
